POLICE seized illegal drugs and gun from a man who was accosted for roaming around the street without quarantine pass Saturday afternoon in Malabon City.

Malabon police chief P/Col. Jessie Tamayao identified the arrested suspect as Crisanto Bonan, 38 of Blk 27 Lot. 7 1st St. Bgy. Tañong whose name was later found on their drug watch list.

Col. Tamayao said earlier at around 4 p.m., elements of Station Intelligence Branch (SIB) received a call from their informant regarding a man, with visible gun tucked in his waist, roaming along 1st St. in Bgy. Tañong.

P/Lt. Joel Aquino and his men immediately proceeded to the area where they chanced upon the suspect still walking on the street which prompted lawmen to accost him.

When frisked, Bonan yielded a caliber .38 revolver loaded with six ammunition and two medium size plastic sachets containing 12.5 grams of shabu with standard drug price worth P85,000.

The suspect was presented for inquest proceedings before the Malabon City Prosecutor’s Office for charges of possession of dangerous drugs and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
