A FORMER employee of a kitchen warehouse was arrested after he and two cohorts robbed his erstwhile employer of cash money Monday before dawn in Caloocan city.
Ryan Angelo Vilaje, 31, was collared by elements of Caloocan Police Community Precinct (PCP) 2 in a follow-up operation at around 4:30 p.m. in front of his house at Block 2-A Lot 2 Phase 3E1 Dagat-Dagatan Avenue, Bgy. 14, while a continued dragnet operation is still ongoing for the possible arrest of his two cohorts.
Caloocan police chief P/Col. Dario Menor said the incident happened at around 3 a.m. inside the Cameron Kitchen Wares Warehouse located at 2A Dagat-Dagatan Avenue corner ACCO Homes, Bgy. 14.
Warehouse operation manager Mary Jane Permo, 46, was sleeping inside her quarter when she was awakened by a noise outside. When she turned on the lights, Vilaje barged inside and poked a knife at her while his two cohorts forcibly opened the company drawer and took all the money amounting to P60,000 cash and her personal mobile phone worth P18,000
The suspects warned Permo not to report the incident to the police but after the heist, she immediately sought police assistance that resulted in the arrest of Vilaje.
