Female native of Hubei found dead in Binondo

A 45-YEAR-OLD woman said to be a native of Hubei, China was found dead inside her rented unit in Binondo, Manila on Tuesday night.

The victim was identified as Li Ming Shi, alias ‘Andy Ang,’ an online seller and residing at Room 501, Neco Building located at the corner of  Tomas Pinpin and Gandara Streets in Binondo.

The Manila Police District- Homicide Section reported that the victim was found dead and naked, while lying on a reclining chair at around 8 p.m. of April 28.

It was learned that at 10 p.m. of said date, the MPD-Gandara Police Community Precinct under Manila Police District-Station 11 received a call from barangay chairman Dick Ching of Barangay  290 Zone 27 and who, in turn, reported the matter to the MPD- Homicide Section.

Jovie  Gutierrez, 34, a security guard at the said building, told the police that a relative of the victim had approached him saying the victim had not been answering her cellphone.

Gutierrez accompanied the relative and when their knocks on her door went unanswered, the guard sought help from the chairman who tasked the guard to take a peek at the window using a ladder and found the victim on a reclining chair, naked.

Police said that based on the relative’s account, the victim had a lingering illness although it was not disclosed.

The body was brought to a funeral parlor for autopsy and examination.
