A FETUS wrapped in cloth was found dumped atop a bridge in Tondo, Manila yesterday.
A probe by the Manila Police District-Homicide Section said that the fetus was found at around 6:15 a.m. by streetsweeper Irene Malvar, 38, of Building 19, Unit 320, Permanent Housing in Tondo.
Malvar was said to be sweeping along Infanta Bridge when she noticed a cloth full of blood.
She checked and was surprised to find inside a fetus which, upon examination by the police, was found to be a girl, seven to eight months old.
Malvar reported the matter to Barangay Chairman Loi Lacson, who in turn, sought police assistance.
The fetus was brought to a funeral parlor for safekeeping.
