A fisherman and his cohort landed in jail after they offered to sell illegal drugs to an undercover cop who earlier was able to purchase 10-pieces of caliber .9mm ammunition from them in a buy-bust operation Monday evening in Navotas City.

Jeffrey Antonio alias “Jepoy”, 24 of 269 S. Roldan St. and Roseber Paras alias “Kojack”, 19, of 168 R. Domingo St. Bgy. Tangos will be charged for violating R.A. 10569 or the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition Act and R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 before the Navotas City Prosecutor’s Office.

Earlier at around 11:40 p.m., elements of Northern Police District Special Operations Unit (DSOU) led by Lt. Melito Pabon conducted a buy-bust operation of ammunition against the suspects at the corner of M. Naval and B. Cruz Streets in Bgy. Tangos.

When Jepoy handed 10 pieces of ammunition for cal. 9mm with brand name A USA Luger to an undercover cop in exchange for P400 marked money, his cohort offered to sell illegal drugs to the police poseur buyer.

The suspects even showed to the undercover cop a blue pouch containing several pieces of plastic sachets of shabu prompting operatives who were in the area to placed them under arrest.

Recovered from the arrested suspects were a total of 12 pieces of plastic sachets containing undetermined quantity of shabu and the marked money used in buy bust operation.
