A member of the dreaded “Sigue-Sigue Sputnik Gang” with a pending homicide case was peppered with bullets by two armed men in front of his live-in partner Friday evening in Malabon City.
Renzo Deligro, 22 of 41-29 Staño St. Bgy. Tugatog sustained multiple bullet wounds in the head and body that led to his instantan death while the still unidentified assailants fled on board a single motorcycle without plate number towards an unknown direction.
Malabon police homicide investigator PO3 Arcee Jumaquio said the victim and his live-in partner Anjaneth Gaviola, 18, were about to buy fried chicken at the corner of Alumino and Mercurio Streets at around 9:20 p.m. when the suspects, one was wearing red jersey and the other white t-shirt, appeared and shot him repeatedly in the head and body in front of Garcia, killing him instantly.
Elements of the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) recovered from the crime scene seven empty shells, three deformed slug and metallic fragment for unknown caliber of firearm.
Investigators are eyeing revenge as the motive behind the killing since the victim, who was recently released from jail after posting bail, was still attending his pending case for homicide before the Malabon City Regional Trial Court (RTC) prior to his death.
Friends and relatives of the victim believed that professional members of a gun-for-hire group were behind the killing.
