THE Gotesco Twin Towers on Natividad Street in Manila was burned yesterday afternoon.
It was learned that the said fire, whose cause is still undetermined, reached second alarm and began at the fifth floor of Building B which houses private offices. It was declared under control at around 1:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, seven houses made of light materials were razed to the ground after fire reportedly caused by a cigarette butt that was thrown into a garbage bin hit an area in Malate, Manila the other night.
The Manila Police District (MPD)-Station 9 in Malate, Manila reported that 14 families actually lost their homes in the fire that took place at 8:45 p.m. on Kalayaan Street in Leveriza, Malate.
