Grab driver stabbed dead in front of sister

A 29-year-old Grab driver was stabbed dead in front of his sister by his neighbor who allegedly bore a grudge against him after the victim allegedly bullied him Tuesday evening in Malabon City.

Ronel Gunida of 913 Gulayan, Bgy. Catmon was rushed by his sister Rotchel to Ospital ng Malabon for treatment of stab wounds in different parts of the body but later expired at around 10:30 p.m. while undergoing surgical operation.

Malabon police chief P/Col. Jessie Tamayao said he already ordered a manhunt operation against the suspect identified as Alex Padilla, 22, jobless and resident of 828 Gulayan, Bgy. Catmon who immediately fled after the killing.

Homicide investigators P/MSgt. Julius Mabasa and P/SSgt. Ernie Baroy said Gunida and his siter Rotchel were having a drinking session in front of their house when the suspect, armed with a kitchen knife, suddenly appeared at around 7:45 p.m. and without a word repeatedly stabbed the victim thrice in the body.
