Gun for hire falls in Taguig

A WANTED gun-for-hire in Western Mindanao was tracked down and arrested in his hiding place in Taguig City by combined agents of the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and the National Capital Region Police Office on Thursday afternoon, CIDG-NCR chief, Colonel Arnold Thomas C. Ibay announced yesterday.

Jerald Cabillon, the 3rd most wanted person in Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur was arrested on the strength of a warrant of arrest for murder issued by Judge Jaime Caberte of the Molave, Zamboanga del Sur Regional Trial Court Branch 23 on January 18, 2018, said the CIDG-NCR chief.

According to Ibay, members of the CIDG-NCR Southern Metro Manila District Field Unit headed by Lieutenant Col. Reyson Bagain and the NCRPO Regional Intelligence Division led by Captain Narrolf Tan arrested the suspect  along Bayani Road in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City at 5 p.m. Thursday.

He said the operatives were assisted by officers from the Taguig City Police Station and the Air Force in arresting the suspect who has been tagged as a member of the so-called Victoriano Criminal Group involved in gun-for-hire activities in Zamboanga del Sur and other parts of Western Mindanao.

Ibay said  the suspect is now being held at the SMMDFU office in Fort Bonifacio pending his presentation to court.
