THE efforts of the Department of Health (DoH) and the Manila Health Department (MHD) were highly lauded by Manila Mayor Isko Moreno in stemming the possibility of the corona virus spreading in communities.

At the weekly flagraising ceremony held in City Hall,  Moreno expressed gratitude to DoH Secretary Francisco Duque and MHD chief Dr. Arnold ‘Poks’Pangan for doing everything possible to keep the country and the city safe, respectively.

Moreno cited how other countries that are far more progressive than the Philippines have been having a hard time battling the corona virus that have also already hit them.

No less than the World Health Organization (WHO) has commended Philippine health authorities for its effective handling of corona virus cases.

Just the same, the mayor still called on the citizenry to not take things lightly and continue to be vigilant and to heel public advisories on how to protect one’s self from getting the virus and how to protect others if you have cough or flu.

Moreno said that at these times of crisis, he is calling on Manilans to pray together and bear in mind that cooperation is the key.
