POLICE are facing a blank wall in their investigation into the death of a digital specialist whose naked body was discovered in a bathtub submerged under water Monday afternoon in Taguig City.

The body of Mark Joseph Ubalde, 33, of 802 SMDC Grass Residence Tower 4, Quezon City was discovered at around 12:22 p.m. inside room 2727 at the 27th floor of five-star hotel in Bonifacio Global City, Fort Bonifacio.

Taguig police chief P/Col. Alexander Santos said that earlier, a call from a guest service center of the hotel was received by the duty security personnel requesting to check the room being occupied by the victim since the latter failed to answer their call.

When duty security supervisor proceeded to the victim’s room, he noticed that the door of the comfort room was unlocked where he discovered the naked body of their guest submerged under water in the bathtub.

The security supervisor immediately sought the assistance of their in-house doctor who immediately proceeded to the area to revive the victim but failed to no avail.

Police said they will wait for the result of the autopsy examination on the victim’s body to determine the real cause of his death.
