MALACAÑANG has declared today January 16 as special non-working holiday in Navotas City to mark its 113th founding anniversary.
Navotas City Mayor John Rey Tiangco said classes in all levels, both private and public, as well as work in government offices in the city are suspended to give the people full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion.
Tiangco said that under Presidential Proclamation No. 648 signed by Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea by authority of the President, January 16 is declared a non-working holiday in the city.
The Mayor also announced the closure of several main roads starting at 11 a.m. today until 7 p.m. and advised motorists to look for an alternate route.
