August 10, 2020

THE National Bureau of Investigation has expressed its deepest sympathies and condolences to the family of former NBI director Alfredo S. Lim who passed away last Saturday.

The NBI said the reforms that Lim instituted when he served as head of the NBI on December 23, 1989 up to March 20, 1992 will always be a part of the bureau.

NBI Officer-In-Charge Director Eric Distor said Lim will be greatly missed by his colleagues in the bureau because even after his stint as Director, he kept coming to the agency during anniversaries, Christmas celebration and other significant events.

"In observance, the Philippine flag will be at half-mast at the NBI head office and all its regional and district offices across the country", Distor added.

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno told the public Lim died due to infection of the latest coronavirus strain.

Lim was 90.
