April 01, 2019

THE Land Transportation Office and the Makati Police will file a separate administrative and criminal charges against television star Douglas Errol Dreyfus Adecer.

Lawyer Clarence Guinto, director of LTO-National Capital Region-West said during the joint press conference that he will  definitely recommend the revocation of the non-professional driver’s license of Adecer.

According to Dir. Guinto based on the gravity of the offenses had committed by Adecer we could consider it habitual.

“The data base of the agency have showed the offender had committed the same reckless driving twice in 2018 and another one this January,” said Dir. Guinto.

“Paulit-ulit at puro reckless driving base sa records na nakuha namin sa LTO Data Base,” said Guinto.

Falsification of public’s document will be also filed against Adecer for presenting faked driver’s license after he was apprehended by the police.

Makati Police Major Gideon Ines, chief of the investigation corroborated  the pronouncement of Guinto, saying that they are also recommending the immediate revocation of the driver’s license of Adecer.

The revocation of the offender’s license would be separated with the criminal charges, said Ines.

Guinto said right now the LTO and Makati police will be discussing and evaluating whether Adecer is still fit to drive, said Guinto.

“Dangerous yung habitual offenses, kaya after this case conference magde-decision kami kung talagang fit to drive pa si Adecer,” said Guinto.

Adecer was arrested by Makati police after a brief chase in Makati city, reportedly after he sideswiped two Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) traffic enforcers  last March 26,2019.

Adecer was charged with disobedience to a person in authority before the Makati Police.

Adecer was released after posting bail for his temporary liberty.
