AUTHORITIES scored another big-time successful drug operation following the seizure of more than P2.5 million worth of shabu from alleged notorious drug peddler Wednesday evening in Makati City.

Makati police chief P/Col. Oscar Jacildo said John Edward Sayson, 25, who worked as family driver and mechanic, was arrested by joint elements of Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) and Intelligence Section at around 6:40 p.m. after he handed a pack of shabu  in exchange for P50,000 marked money from an undercover cop who posted as poseur-buyer in front of his house at 2617 Rockefeller St. Bgy. San Isidro.

Recovered from suspect’s possession were seven medium size plastic sachets containing 375.38 grams of shabu with standard drug price worth P2,552,584.00, marked money composed of 2 genuine P1,000 bill and 48 pieces boodle money, two mobile phones and several pieces of drug paraphernalia.

Southern Police District (SPD) P/Brig. Gen. Emmanuel Peralta lauded the Makati city police and said this served as a stern warning for drug personalities to stop their illegal drugs activities since the PNP are still intensifying its anti-illegal drugs campaign despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
