STARTING tomorrow, (November 5), mall operators in Metro Manila will adjust their store and delivery hours to help ease traffic during the holiday season.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced that as per agreement, mall hours should start at 11 a.m. instead of 10 a.m. during weekdays while delivery of non-perishable goods will be from 11 pm to 5 am.
Aside from the adjusted mall hours, an additional security personnel will be deployed to facilitate vehicles coming and going in mall parking areas while removal of obstructions at the loading and unloading stations around the malls will be implemented.
Mall owners also agreed that no promo on special sale will be conducted during weekdays while the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) agreed that there will be no road works, including road diggings and repairs, except for government flagship projects or during emergency cases.
MMDA General Manager Jojo Garcia said as per agreement, adjusted mall hours will last until January 14, 2019.
