A 34-YEAR-OLD man was critically wounded after fighting with robbers who held him up Tuesday evening in Taguig City.
Jonathan Vitamog was rushed to Taguig-Pateros District Hospital for treatment of stab wounds in the body while the still unidentified five robbers managed to escape when elements of Public Order and Safety Office (POSO) responded to the area.
Report reaching the office of Southern Police District (SPD) Director P/Brig. Gen. Eliseo Cruz showed that while the victim was walking along C-5 Waterfun Bridge Underpass in Western Bicutan at around 9:30 p.m. on his way home, five men, armed with bladed weapons, blocked his path and declared a hold up.
The victim resisted and refused to give his valuables prompting the suspects to gang up on him.
Vitamog tried to fight back which prompted the suspect to stab him repeatedly in the body and though wounded, he managed to run and seek the help of POSO members who were conducting foot patrol in the area.
Taguig police chief P/Col. Alexander Santos ordered a manhunt operation against the five robbers who were allegedly responsible for a series of robbery holdup incidents along Western Bicutan.
