Man found dead after drinking session in QC

A 24-YEAR-OLD man was found dead after having a drinking session with his two friends including the suspect at the latter’s house in Quezon City on Sunday night.

Killed on the spot due to a lone stab wound on the left chest was Richard Espanto, a resident of Narra Street, Barangay Payatas B, Quezon City. His alleged attacker identified as Jeffrey Limpin, 24 years old, remains at large.

A report from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD-CIDU) showed that the incident happened about 10:30 p.m. August 16, 2020 inside the suspect’s house at no. 68 Evergreen Street, Barangay Payatas B, Quezon City.

Investigation showed that prior to the incident, the victim had a drinking session with the suspect and another friend identified as Arnold Montoya.

According to Montoya he went home around 10 pm to see his wife, and when he was about to return to the drinking session, he saw the suspect on board his motorcycle.

Montoya said the suspect told him that he will just buy something to eat in Litex.

Montoya proceeded at the suspect’s house and he saw the victim asking for help while holding his wounded chest and later died on the spot.
