Manila curfew back to 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

August 18, 2020

CURFEW hours in Manila will be back to 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. as Metro Manila reverts to its general community quarantine status after August 18, the last day of the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ).

This was announced by Mayor Isko Moreno, who earlier imposed an 8 p.m. curfew in connection with the imposition of the MECQ.

Meanwhile, the  Sto.Nino de Parish Church in Pandacan received a personal donation of  P700,000 from Mayor Isko Moreno, to aid in its reconstruction efforts.

It was learned that the money is Moreno’s talent fee for endorsing a vitamins company, paid to him in check.

The said church, it will be recalled, was gutted by fire last month. When this happened, Moreno paid the Church a visit and promised Sto.Niño de Pandacan Parish  Priest, Msgr. Sonny de Claro,  that he will send  help for the reconstruction of the historic church which housed the 400-year-old image of the Sto. Niño de Pandacan that was also destroyed by fire.

Part of the icon’s clothing and the ball it held were found and put in a safe place at the second floor of the said Church.
