MANILA posted a peaceful and orderly celebration of New Year.

Manila Police District Director Senior Supt. Vicente Danao, Jr. said the MPD is proud of this development and the fact that no resident fell victim to stray bullets and that no police officer was also reported to have engaged in indiscriminate firing to usher in the new Year.

Danao credited the positive development to the coordination made with  government agencies like the Bureau of Fire Protection,  Department of Health (DOH) and various Local  Government Units and the cooperation of the public as well.

The MPD chief assured Manilans that the police will continue to be vigilant to ensure their safety.
