April 21, 2020

THE Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA disowned a circulating infographic online about a purported number coding scheme advisory in Metro Manila.

In its advisory issued late Monday afternoon, the MMDA informed the public that the infographic, showing the new schedule of vehicles allowed to travel in Metro Manila did not come from the agency.

The infographic circulating on social media though did not have the name or logo of MMDA, the public, as well as the motorists, will presume that it came from the agency which has the mandate to issue the advisory.

MMDA Chairman Danilo Lim appealed to the public to rely only to the official MMDA social media accounts on Facebook and Twitter as source of information.

He added that the agency’s number coding scheme for both public and private vehicles remains indefinetly suspended until further notice.
