MORE wanted persons in Metro Manila were hauled to jail by agents of the National Capital Region Field Unit of the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group as they further stepped-up their effort to account for all fugitives from law in the metropolis, a report to PNP-CIDG director, Major General Joel Napoleon M. Coronel said yesterday.
“This is part of our intensified implementation of the CIDG’s flagship program against wanted persons called Oplan: Pagtugis,” said CIDG-NCR chief, Lieutenant Colonel Arnold Thomas C. Ibay.
On Wednesday, CIDG-NCR operatives arrested Arnold Yanguas in front of PTV 4 in Quezon City on the basis of a warrant of arrest for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 issued by Judge Mitushealla Manzanero-Casino of the Q.C. Regional Trial Court Branch 228.
No bail was recommended for the temporary liberty of the suspect, a 24-year old resident of 96-A General Avenue, Project 8, Barangay Tandang Sora, Q.C., said Ibay.
Another suspect wanted for estafa and identified as Benigno Cabrieto was also arrested by Ibay’s men on the basis of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Khrysttynn de Leon-Garica of the Q.C. RTC Branch 38.
A 3rd identified as Lexter Ventura, a notorious robbery suspect tagged as one of the most wanted persons in Pasay City was arrested along Arnaiz Street corner FB Harrison on Wednesday night.
