MANILA Mayor Isko Moreno and Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna yesterday led the ground-breaking and capsule-laying ceremonies of the Tondominium 1 building in Vitas, Tondo.
Moreno, who was also joined by city engineer Armand Andres, planning chief Architect Dennis Lacuna, urban settlements office chief Atty. Cris Fernandez and Andres’ head of design unit architect Pepito Balmoris, said the in-city vertical housing project is his lifelong dream and that he shared it with his mentor, former Vice Mayor Danny Lacuna, Honey’s father.
The vice mayor thanked Moreno for making that dream come true.
The Tondominium will be a 15-storey condominium building that will have 168 units measuring 44 square meters each and with two bedrooms each.
Moreno said the units are bigger than ordinary condo units because he wants to show how to give an honest-to-goodness, liveable and decent housing.
Andres said the project is expected to finish next year.
