THE Navotas City Health Office recorded 102 recoveries from COVID-19 in a single day on Friday evening bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,292 or 42% of the total 3,068 confirmed cases.
Navotas City Mayor Toby Tiangco said he was satisfied with the huge number of recovered patients who are at present already with their families. However, the City Health Office recorded another 30 COVID-19 confirmed cases and an additional death of one patient, bringing the total of deaths to 101.
The mayor instructed city police chief P/Col. Rolando Balasabas to strictly enforce the existing curfew hours for adults and minors, including the stay at home policy to prevent transmission of the deadly virus.
He also released the schedule of market day from Monday to Saturday which was distributed to 18 barangays to avoid overcrowding while cleaning and disinfection of public markets was scheduled on Sunday.
He advised employed residents who were allowed to go outside for work to properly wear face mask and face shields and observe 1 to 2 meters of physical distancing.
