NCRPO med tech grads tapped to test COVID-19 patients

NATIONAL Capital Region Police Office director, Major General Debold M. Sinas yesterday said medical technology graduates who have joined the Metro Manila police will be tapped to augment Philippine National Police doctors in the testing of suspected COVID-19 patients in Metro Manila.

“We are recognizing the important role to be played by Med Tech graduates in the NCRPO when they are assigned to augment our doctors for possible mass testing of COVID-19 patients,” said the Metro Manila police chief.

Sinas yesterday spearheaded the conduct of a Pharyngeal Swabbing Training for COVID-19 at the NCRPO headquarters in Camp Bagong Diwa in Bicutan, Taguig City.

The program was attended by NCRPO personnel with medical technology degree as well as the NCPRO Command Group and members of the Regional Staff.

Sinas also underscored the need for the public to fully cooperate with their enhanced community quarantine program to help prevent the spread of the deadly COVID-19 virus and warned that police will not hesitate to arrest unauthorized persons on the streets and charge them with resistance and disobedience to person in authority in the event they ignore orders for them to return to their homes immediately.
