69 Navotenos recover.
FOR the first time since the outbreak of coronavirus disease (COVID) 19 in the country late February, the Navotas City Health Office recorded no new cases of the disease on Thursday.
Mayor Toby Tiangco said instead of new active cases, 69 Navoteños reportedly recovered from COVID-19 and were allowed to go home to be with their families on Thursday, while no single deaths were recorded.
This brings the total of recovered patients to 3,004 or 76% of 3,953 confirmed cases with 834 active cases and 115 deaths.
Despite this, Tiangco cautioned residents against letting their guard down and reminded them to be extremely careful so as not to be infected by the deadly virus.
He added that while the National Capital Region was placed under the more lenient general community quarantine (GCQ), more people will be allowed to go out and chances are, they are inclined to be exposed to the virus.
Tiangco also cautioned workers and employees who were allowed to work to be careful so as not to be infected with the dreaded disease.
