MORE than P1 million worth of shabu were seized by operatives of Northern Police District (NPD) in a buy-bust operation against two suspected drug pushers, including a woman, yesterday morning in Caloocan City.
NPD director Chief Supt. Rolando Anduyan identified the arrested suspects as Marvin Salinas, 34, of 23 N. Domingo St., San Juan City, and Carmela Francisco, 24, of 26-K Oliveros Drive, Balintawak, Quezon City.
Anduyan said operatives of District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) were able to transact with the suspects a pack of shabu worth P2,000 along EDSA, Bagong Barrio at 5 a.m.
When PO1 Ricky Pascual who acted as poseur-buyer received the pack of shabu in exchange for P2,000 in marked money, operatives of DDEU pounced on the suspects when the police decoy gave the pre-arranged signal.
When frisked, Salinas yielded 150 grams of shabu placed inside a ziplock sealed transparent plastic sachet with an estimated street value worth P1,090,000.
