Notorious pusher killed in shootout with cops

A notorious drug pusher was killed in a shootout with police while his girlfriend was arrested in a buy-bust operation Tuesday afternoon in Valenzuela City.

Valenzuela police chief P/Col. David Nicolas Poklay identified the slain suspect as Oliver Pabaya, 37, while his girlfriend, Ma. Cristina San Miguel, 30 was arrested after she yielded an undetermined amount of suspected shabu.

Col. Poklay said that prior to the incident, elements of Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) led by P/Maj. Jowielouie Bilaro conducted a buy-bust operation against the suspect in front of his girlfriend’s house at 353 Dulong Tangke St. Bgy. Malinta at around 3:50 p.m.

However, when Pabaya sensed that he was dealing with an undercover cop, he drew his firearm and shot the approaching operatives, prompting the lawmen to retaliate and hit the suspect in the body.

Policemen rushed the suspect to Valenzuela Medical Center where he succumbed to bullet wounds in the body.

Recovered from the slain suspect’s possession were a caliber. 38 revolver loaded with four live ammunition and two fired shells, a plastic sachet of shabu and P1,000 buy-bust money.
