February 23, 2019

THE Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) yesterday announced the suspension of the Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) or the number coding on Monday in the metropolis.

MMDA Public Information Office (PIO) head Sharon Gentalian said the number coding was suspended as part of the celebration of the People Power Revolution anniversary on February 25.

The agency also announced the closure on Monday of one lane of EDSA, in front of the People Power Monument from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Gentalian said the number coding is automatically lifted during regular holidays and since the People Power Anniversary was declared a non-working holiday, the UVVRP in the metropolis will be suspended.
