THE odd-even number scheme will be temporarily suspended in Pasig City while undergoing a review.
Under the odd-even scheme, four-wheeled vehicles with license plates ending in even numbers are barred from plying Elisco Road, R. Jabson Street, San Guillermo Street, Sandoval Avenue and F. Legaspi Bridge on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays while vehicles with license plates ending in odd numbers are prohibited on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto shared on his Facebook page his first executive order suspending the “disjointed and unjust” odd-even number coding scheme for motorists in the city.
“We are suspending the odd-even traffic scheme created and traffic enforcers will no longer apprehend violators,” Sotto said. The suspension will stay pending a review by the Traffic Management Task Force.
