ONLY guests with confirmed reservations at any of the accommodation establishments listed by government will be allowed entry to Boracay Island.
This reminder was issued yesterday by budget carrier Cebu Pacific to its guests who have booked for flights to Caticlan and Kalibo, adding that they will be requested to show proof of confirmed hotel and bookings before entering the said place.
CEB spokesperson Ma. Rosario Lagamon said the reservations must be at establishmens that are compliant with the requirements of the Departments of Tourism, Interior and Local Government and Environment and Natural Resources.
Lagamon also said that in order to avoid any possible inconvenience, ‘we strongly advise guests who are travelling or planning to go to Boracay Island starting Oct. 26, 2018 to check if their chosen hotel or resort has been certified compliant and permitted to operate.’ She also announced that further information regarding accredited establishments on Boracay can be found at facebook.com/Department of Tourism or @TourismPHL on Twitter.
