Ospital ng Tondo closed, 32 health workers infected

THE Ospital ng Tondo will be temporarily closed after 32 of its medical workers got infected with the coronavirus.

This was announced by Mayor Isko Moreno who said the decision was arrived at due to the request made by hospital director Dr. Myrna Lacson-Paloma herself.

As such, only emergency situations will be accepted in the said hospital while other cases will be referred to the other city hospitals.

Meanwhile, Moreno announced that the city government purchased 2,000 vials of Remdesivir worth P13 million to help mild, moderate and severe COVID-19 patients recover faster.

Earlier, Moreno said that P200 million had been allocated by the city to purchase vaccines against the coronavirus once they become available.
