P86K shabu seized, 8 drug suspects nabbed in QC

A TOTAL of P 86,140 worth of shabu were confiscated, while eight drug suspects were arrested during separate anti-drug operations conducted by the Quezon City Police District (QCPD).

QCPD Director, Police Brigadier General Ronnie S Montejo said four of the suspects identified as Rose-Ann Morales alias Baby, 27, Angeline Muñoz, 31, Noriel Romero, 52 and Vergilio Osorio, 35, all residents of Sampaloc, Manila were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by Kamuning Police Station (PS 10) under PLtCol Lucio Simangan Jr.

They were nabbed by responding policemen at about 6:50 p.m. (April 18, 2020) in front of No. 19-A Bayani St., Bgy. San Isidro after a police poseur buyer bought P9,500 worth of shabu from the suspects. Seized were about more or less seven  grams of shabu worth P47,600 three cellphones, a tricycle with plate No. 6378 UX, a Yamaha Mio motorcycle and the buy-bust money.

Another suspect identified as Monaim Rascal alias Boss, 37, of Bgy. Culiat was arrested in a buy-bust operation by Masambong Police Station (PS 2) under PLtCol Rodrigo Soriano, at about 5p.m, (April 18, 2020) in front of a Day Care Center located along Forestry St., Bgy. Vasra.

Confiscated from the suspect were more or less five grams of shabu worth P34,000 and the buy-bust money.

Meanwhile, Batasan Police Station (PS 6) under PLtCol Romulus Gadaoni took custody of Charlie De Vera, 21, of Bgy. Payatas and Jerry Dagdag, 34, of Bgy. Commonwealth, at about 11:10 PM, April 18, 2020, along Acapolco St., corner Lower Jasmin St., Area A, Bgy. Payatas. BPSOs of Bgy. Payatas approached the uneasy suspects for roaming around without a quarantine pass and when frisked they yielded six sachets of shabu worth P2,040 and a sachet of marijuana fruiting tops.

Talipapa Police Station (PS 3) under PLtCol Benjamin Gabriel Jr arrested Rommel Valenzuela, 46, of Bgy. Balon Bato, at about 10:30 p.m. (April 18, 20200 at 10 Km NLEX Bgy. Balon Bato. He was initially accosted for violating the curfew hours during enhanced community quarantine and when frisked, Valenzuela yielded two sachets of shabu worth P2,500
