DESPITE the fact that Peryahan ng Bayan recorded a high revenue in just a span of three months, Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced the suspension of the operations of the gaming activity as ordered by the Office of the President.

“This is to inform the public that effective February 6, 2020 the operation of the Peryahan Games is suspended until further instructions from the Office of the President,” based on the official announcement issued by PCSO General Manager Royina Garma-Marzan.

In a press conference recently, an official of PCSO said the Peryahan ng Bayan and Small Town Lottery (STL) emerged as significant revenue generators of the agency.

According to PCSO Assistant General Manager for Gaming Arnel Casas, Lotto games, Peryahan ng Bayan and STL were still significant in sustaining the agency’s profit.
