Dr. Jonas del Rosario, spokeperson of PGH, said that construction works and transfer of certain equipments are now being done and that by Monday, the said hospital may begin accepting patients manifesting COVID-19 symptoms.
Del Rosario said only those who have turned out positive will be taken in ‘Ang gusto naming ay iyong mga na screen nang pasyente at talagang nagpositibo na sa COVID-19 ang gagamutin naming pasyente, kasi sayang ang kama,’ he said, as he called on government to add other referral hospitals.
It was learned that PGH now has 24 COVID-19 cases, with 20 classified as Patients Under Investigation (PUIs) and four as positive.
Two health workers are also being considered as PUIs.
