A WAREHOUSE in Sta. Ana, Manila said to be full of political giveaways and tarpaulins caught fire early yesterday morning.
Fire Senior Inspector Lucio Albaracin, chief of the Manila Fire District-intelligence and investigative section, said the fire hit the warehouse located on Carreon Street at 2:41 a.m. It reached second alarm before it was declared ‘fire out’ at 4:58 a.m.
It was learned that the warehouse contained light materials as well as thinners, cartons and paint cans.
Cesar Castro told probers that he managed to get out from the ground floor and was saved by a firefighter who brought him to a standby ambulance.
Estimated damage to property is P100,000. The cause of fire is yet to be established.
