QUEZON City Police District (QCPD) Director, Police Brigadier General Ronnie S Montejo reiterated to his officers, men and women to strictly adhere with the latest guidance of PNP Chief Police General Francisco F Gamboa especially to those manning different checkpoints in Quezon City as the Enhanced Community Quarantine is still in effect.
PBGen Montejo said, General Gamboa emphasized during a radio interview that cargo trucks and other similar vehicles delivering food and other essential services should be unhampered and be allowed to pass quarantine checkpoints subject to existing guidelines by the Inter-agency Task Force (IATF).
Public health workers (all employees of the Department of Health, DOH Hospitals, Hospitals of Local Government Units, and Provincial, City, and Rural Health Units); b. Private health workers, such as but not limited to medical professionals, hospital administrative staff and aides from private health facilities, as well as their service providers; and c. Health workers and volunteers of the Philippine Red Cross and the World Health Organization.”
In addition, PBGen Montejo again appealed especially to the netizens to refrain or stop spreading false information or fake news. General Gamboa ordered the Anti-cybercrime Group (ACG), of which an Anti-cybercrime Team is based inside Camp Karingal to run after those responsible in spreading fake news in the social media and arrest and bring them to justice.
PBGen Montejo also reminded the public to respect and obey the authorities manning the checkpoints and even those roaming the inner roads and alleys in the barangays to ensure that home quarantine is strictly observed.
