THE Quezon City Police District (QCPD) rounded up a total of 1,594 persons for violation of laws and city ordinances from 5 a.m. of Nov. 17 to 5 a.m. of Nov. 18, 2018.
La Loma Police Station (PS 1) under Supt. Robert Sales accosted eight for smoking in public places, one for roaming half-naked in public place, 16 for jaywalking and 84 for other traffic violations.
Masambong Police Station (PS 2) under Supt. Rodrigo Soriano nabbed 104 for jaywalking while Talipapa (PS 3) under Supt. Alex Alberto collared two for smoking in public places and 138 for traffic violations.
Novaliches (PS 4) under Supt. Rossel Cejas held 151 for jaywalking, 220 for other traffic violations and 19 for violation of waste management code.
Fairview (PS 5) under Supt. Benjamin Gabriel Jr. accosted one for violation of waste management code, seven for jaywalking and 126 for sleeping in prohibited public places.
Batasan (PS 6) under Supt. Joel Villanueva collared 22 for smoking in public places and 42 for jaywalking.
Cubao (PS 7) under Supt. Giovanni Hycenth Caliao accosted 79 for smoking in public places, 20 for jaywalking and 20 for other traffic violations.
Project 4 (PS 8) under Supt. Ophelio Dakila Concina Jr. accosted four for smoking in public places and 200 for jaywalking.
Anonas (PS 9) under Supt. Cipriano Galanida accosted six for smoking in public places and 70 for jaywalking.
Kamuning (PS 10) under Supt. Louise Benjie Tremor accosted eight for smoking in public places, 45 for jaywalking and 59 for other traffic violations.
Galas (PS 11) under Supt. Carlito Mantala nabbed three for drinking in public places, four for smoking in public places and 112 for other traffic violations.
Eastwood (PS 12) personnel under Supt. Camlon Nasdoman accosted 14 for smoking in public places, rescued five (5) minors for violating curfew hours and four (4) for jaywalking.
QCPD director Chief Supt. Joselito T. Esquivel Jr. said those accosted were either issued Ordinance Violation Receipts (OVR) or render community service. He called on the public to obey laws and city ordinances at all times to avoid being penalized.
