AFTER the closure of Estrella-Pantaleon Bridge, known as the Rockwell Bridge, a traffic re-routing scheme was implemented along Ayala Avenue and Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue beginning yesterday.
The stretch of Makati Avenue (from J. P. Rizal Avenue going towards Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue) will be converted into a one-way street.
Vehicles going towards Makati-Mandaluyong Bridge shall turn right at P. Burgos Street and head towards J.P. Rizal Avenue-Makati Avenue intersection and turn right towards the bridge.
Along Sen Gil J. Puyat Avenue/Tordesillas/Malugay Street Intersection and Sen Gil J. Puyat Avenue/Ayala Avenue Intersection, left turning vehicles going to Salcedo Village shall take the Zuellig Loop.
Vehicles going to Makati-CBD from Makati-Mandaluyong Bridge will make a right turn to J.P. Rizal Avenue, turn left to N. Garcia Street, right to Sen. Gil J. Puyat Avenue and finally, take a left turn to Ayala Avenue, entering the Central Business District.
Right turning vehicles along J.P. Rizal Avenue from Makati-Mandaluyong Bridge can also make a left turn to Zapote Avenue.
Since heavy traffic is expected, motorists are advised to take alternate routes.
