NATIONAL Capital Region Police Office director, Major General Debold M. Sinas yesterday ordered the disarming and administrative relief of a Quezon City Police District personnel who tested positive for using shabu during a random drug testing last May 28.
In a directive to QCPD director, Brigadier Gen Ronnie S. Montejo, the Metro Manila police chief ordered the transfer of Police Staff Sergeant Arthur Santos II from the QCPD Station 4 to the NCRPO Regional Personnel Holding and Administrative Service in Camp Bagong Diwa in Bicutan, Taguig City, the Journal Group learned.
He also ordered the NCRPO Regional Intelligence Division to seek the assistance of the Philippine National Police Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group in investigating Santos and his companions in his illegal drug use.
Sinas directed the QCPD Station 4 commander to furnish Santos a copy of the chemistry report from the Regional Crime Laboratory Office-NCR which indicated he was positive for use of shabu.
“I have ordered the Regional Internal Affairs Service NCR to fast-track the conduct of pre-charge investigation and summary hearing procedure on the subject non-commissioned officer,” the official said.
The RCLO-NCR said Santos’s urine specimen tested positive for the presence of shabu during an initial screening test last May 28. The policeman was among the officers and men of QCPD Station 8 who were subjected to a on-the-spot drug test by the NCRPO and QCPD leadership that day.
