A JETSTAR Airways bound for Singapore and carrying 158 passengers returned to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport 20 minutes after take-off the plane was hit by a bird strike yesterday.
Media Affairs Division chief Jesus Martinez of the Manila International Airport Authority said the incident happened around 10:40 a.m.
The Jetstar pilot decided to turn back for safety and protection of all passengers and crew members of the aircraft. The flight was canceled later and the passengers were rebooked for the next day. Jet Star management also shouldered the food and hotel accommodation of all the affected travelers.
