Spa with ‘extra service’ raided

Quezon City policemen raided yesterday a spa in Bgy. Mariana which reportedly offered extra service’.

Acting Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director, Police Colonel Ronnie S Montejo said, the QCPD received information that the Dragon Spa located at No. 1022 Olympia Bldg, E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue, Bgy. Mariana was a front of prostitution wherein a customer can book services through their website ‘’. The website apparently showed photos of female therapists to lure ‘would-be customers’.

At about 2 p.m., yesterday the spa was raided by combined elements of District Special Operations Unit (DSOU) under Officer-in-Charge PCPT Marvin Inocencio, District Women and Children Protection Desk (DWCPD), QC Anti-Cyber Crime Unit along with personnel from the Social Services Development Department (SSDD), and Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) after an undercover operative posed as customer and confirmed the illegal activities inside the spa.  

Police arrested Charmaine Gonzales, 28, cashier and receptionist of the spa, and a certain Dennis Mendoza, 48, who was caught availing ‘extra service’ from the spa. The manager of the spa identified as Mary Jean Aranas alias George Bautista and the registered owner identified as Dianne Mendoza were not around during the raid.
