A grade 10 student and a drug listed personality were arrested by the San Juan police for selling illegal drugs during separate anti-drug operations Thursday night.
A report submitted to Eastern Police District (EPD) director Chief Supt. Bernabe Balba by San Juan police chief, Senior Supt. Dindo Reyes identified the suspect as alias Bong, 14, Grade 10 student, of San Marcos Street, Sta. Mesa, Manila.
The boy was collared by Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) team headed by Senior Insp. Dionisio Jonathan de Castro after handling P500 worth of suspected marijuana fruiting tops to a police poseur-buyer along N. Domingo St., Bgy. Progreso at 9:30 p.m.
The boy admitted that his supplier of marijuana is based in Sta. Mesa and sells it to his customers in San Juan City.
Police are investigating if the boy was also supplying marijuana to his fellow students.
Suspect Daniel Glorioso, 30, of 52 Alley 3, 2nd West Crame, Bgy. West Crame, was nabbed during a buy-bust operation in Bgy. West Crame at 6 p.m.
Prior to the arrest, police received an information that Glorioso still continues with his drug peddling activities in their barangay.
Reyes said Glorioso is included on the drug watchlist and surrendered under “Oplan Tokhang”.
Recovered from him were three heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu and the buy-bust money.
The two were charged with violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Glorioso is now detained at San Juan police detention cell while the minor was placed under the custody of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
