MEMBERS of San Juan Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) collared a 21-year old woman, reportedly a drug dealer, and her senior high school courier who have been supplying marijuana to students in the city during a series of operations on Friday.
A report submitted to Eastern Police District (EPD) director Chief Supt. Bernabe Balba by San Juan Police chief, Senior Supt. Dindo Reyes identified the alleged drug dealer as Julia Ameera Webb, alias Miray, single, and residing at 148 Mulawin Street, Bgy. Corazon De Jesus while her courier was identified as Carlito Perez Jr., 22, senior high school student, of 173-G Domingo Street, Bgy. Balong Bato, both in San Juan City.
Reyes said Perez was brought to the police station after officials of Duro Derus Integrated School located on 198 N. Domingo Street, Bgy. Corazon De Jesus caught the student in possession of a brick of suspected dried marijuana leaves with fruiting tops during an inspection at around 12:30 p.m.
SDEU chief Senior Insp. Edwin Malabanan said during interrogation, Perez eventually pointed to Webb as his dealer.
While inside the station, Webb sent text messages to Perez asking for the remittance of drug sales.
Malabanan negotiated with Webb for a drug deal who agreed to meet in front of the said school at around 4:30 pm.
Webb was arrested as she was handling over the illegal drugs to the policeman. Recovered from her were seven pieces of heat sealed undetermined amount of marijuana dried leaves.
It was learned that Perez had been a drug courier of Webb for a long- time and had been selling drugs through text and Facebook. Most of his customers were students from different schools in San Juan City, the SDEU chief disclosed.
Webb admitted to the police that she got her supplies of marijuana from Kalinga, Apayao.
The two are now detained and facing charges of violation of RA 9165 or Illegal Drugs.
San Juan Police chief vowed to continue conduct an aggressive campaign against illegal drugs.
