FOUR suspects involved in the killing of a congressional candidate were arrested in a follow-up operation Friday in Quezon City.

Quezon City Police District director Chief Superintendent Joselito T. Esquivel Jr. identified the suspects as Teofilo Formanes, 48, market inspector at Commonwealth Market, and brothers Ruel Juab, 38, delivery boy; vendors Orlando Juab, 32, and Joppy Juab, 28.

Esquivel said Formanes was arrested in a follow-up operation Friday morning at the back of Commonwealth Market by operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU) under PCI Elmer Monsalve after an eyewitness positively identified him in a gallery of rouges as closely resembling  a facial composite illustration issued by police.

Formanes later identified his cohorts in the ambush slay of former Bgy. Bagong Silangan Chairwoman Crisell Beltran and her driver Melchor Salita that led to the arrest  at No. 38 Steve St. in Bgy. Commonwealth  of the Juab brothers.
