A CLOSED circuit television camera technician was critically wounded when he was stabbed for trying to break a fight Sunday afternoon in Malabon City.
Rennie Garcia, 32, of 144 Compound, in Bgy. Potrero, sustained several stab wounds in the body. The suspect identified as Renato Badidles, 58, of Orange Road, Bgy. Potrero, was arrested by responding operatives of Malabon Police Community Precinct (PCP) 2.
Malabon police chief Col. Jessie Tamayao said that prior to the incident, the victim and the suspect, together with Garcia’s godson Wilson Alising, 23, were drinking at No. 144 Compound, Orange Road.
After consuming several bottles of beer, Badidles allegedly confronted Alising for still unknown reason that resulted in their heated altercation.
The victim tried to pacify Badidles but the latter turned his ire on him and stabbed him with a screw driver.
Charges of frustrated homicide will be filed by police against the suspect before the Malabon City Prosecutor’s Office.
