AN 18-year-old boy allegedly involved in several burglary incidents in Quezon and Mandaluyong cities was nabbed by San Juan Police after he tried to stage another burglary in a posh subdivision in the city on Sunday.
San Juan Police chief Col. Jaime Santos identified the suspect as Ricky Ycon of Barangay Addition Hills, Mandaluyong City.
Initial investigation showed that Ycon was spotted by security personnel of North East Greenhills Subdivision located at Barangay Greenhills at around 5 a.m. Sunday.
Prior to the incident, the suspect was spotted at the vicinity allegedly to rob another house inside the posh subdivision.
The security personnel approached the suspect but he quickly ran away prompting them to seek assistance from San Juan Police who were patrolling at the area.
After a brief chase, Ycon was cornered and was placed under police custody.
Upon frisking, police reportedly seized one fragmentation grenade and a sachet of suspected shabu from Ycon.
