A HUGE volume of trash littered some parts of the stretch of Roxas Boulevard in Manila due to floods brought about by typhoon ‘Ompong’.
It was learned that the floods were particularly high near the United States Embassy in Ermita, Manila although the boulevard remained passable.
Authorities led by the Department of Public Works and Highways, immediately conducted declogging along Roxas Boulevard so that the waters receded before 12 noon.
Strong winds meantime downed at least one streetlight post along the service road of Roxas Boulevard.
Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 1 had been raised over Metro Manila since Friday.
