MORE than two kilos of high grade marijuana with an estimated street value worth P100,000 were seized by authorities from four suspected drug pushers in a buy-bust operation before dawn yesterday in Valenzuela City.

Valenzuela police chief P/Col. David Nicolas Poklay identified the arrested suspects as Jihad Khatib, 26, Sameer Jonathan Khatib, 29, both of 407 Tangang Manang St. Parada, Jade Dahil-Dahil, 18, of Lamesa St, Ugong and Jaime Luzon, 30 of 207 Feliza Bukid, Parada.

Investigation showed that at around 2 a.m. elements of Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) led by P/Maj. Jowielouie Bilaro conducted buy-bust operation against Jihad in front of his house after more than a week of surveillance operation.

When Jihad handed a plastic bag containing high grade marijuana to an undercover cop in exchange for P3,000 marked money, operatives who were at the vicinity immediately pounced on him.

Three of his cohorts who tried to escape were also arrested and yielded 12 pieces of plastic bags containing dried marijuana leaves and one brick of marijuana leaves.

Col. Poklay said his men also recovered the marked money from the arrested suspects.
