THREE relatives of a woman who was earlier arrested for creating trouble assaulted and stormed arresting barangay officials causing damaged on their patrol vehicle Friday evening in Makati City.
Makati police chief P/Col. Rogelio Simon said charges for assault to an agent of person of authority, malicious mischief, alarm and scandal and violation of Executive Order No. 10 or the enhancement community quarantine will be filed against the suspects, identified as Kyla Blanqueza, 21, Bernie Bumatay, 19, Benny Bumatay, 41 and Micoh Abellera, 18, before the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office.
Investigation showed that at around 8:30 p.m., elements of Bantay Bayan of Barangay Southside received a call regarding an ongoing disturbance along Firefly St., prompting Ronaldo Lubo, 51, Jioner Sampong, Jonel Fernandez, 21 Dennis Perilla, 36 and Edwian Adap, 53, all members of Bantay Bayan to proceed to the area.
Upon arrival, they saw Blanqueza in the act of creating trouble in the neighborhood and after introducing themselves as barangay officials, they arrested her and placed her inside their patrol vehicle.
However, three relatives of Blanqueza arrived and struggled with barangay watchmen and even threw stones on them damaging their vehicle.
Elements of Makati Police Sub-Station 10 responded to the scene and arrested the suspects before they were turned over to the Makati police headquarters Station Investigation and Detective Management Branch (SIDMB) for proper disposition.
